Rachel Jaques

Publishing Director

Rachel is a well-recognised name in the legal publishing arena and is well networked at a senior level in the Malaysian legal profession. The holder of a LLB (Hons) from the University of London (External) and a Certificate in Legal Practice, Rachel has led our publishing operations in Malaysia for over 26 years, leading commissioning, editorial, subscriptions and production functions of our publishing business in Malaysia. Rachel has also had oversight of our Singapore publications during her tenure at Thomson Reuters.

Nurin Afifah Ahmad Jais

Senior Legal Editor, Subscriptions

Nurin Afifah graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 2017. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in August 2018 and practised law for a short period. Nurin joined Thomson Reuters in March 2020. She manages the subscription portfolio with special emphasis on All Malaysia Reports (AMR) and Personal Injury Reports (PIR). She has a good working relationship with the members of the Judiciary.

Siti Sarah Hanim

Legal Editor, Subscriptions

Sarah read law at Multimedia University (Malacca) and graduated in 2021. Sarah has been with Thomson Reuters for the past 2 years. She is the primary editor of Personal Injury Reports (PIR) and also works with her other colleagues on All Malaysia Reports (AMR). 

Deepa Radhakrishnan

Legal Editor, Subscriptions

Deepa holds a LLB (Hons) from the University of London (External) and a Certificate in Legal Practice. Deepa was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001 and was in practice for a year. Deepa has been a freelance editor with Thomson Reuters for approximately 15 years. She has vast experience in editing and has also freelanced for LexisNexis and CCH. She now manages The Law Review and works on All Malaysia Reports (AMR) and the Personal Injury Reports (PIR) as well.

Kevin Peng Khoon Ooi

Managing Editor, Books and Major Works

Kevin is a very experienced legal publishing professional. The holder of a LLB (Hons) from the University of London (External) and a Certificate in Legal Practice, Kevin has been involved in legal publishing since 1989 when he began his career with Butterworths/Malayan Law Journal in Singapore. He joined Thomson Reuters Malaysia in September 2003. He has wide experience in editing books, major works, looseleaf publications and law reports. In 2014-2018, Kevin also managed book projects for Thomson Reuters Singapore.

Tabitha Dass

Commissioning Manager

Tabitha is a holder of LLB (Hons) from University of London (External). She manages major titles which include Bullen & Leake & Jacob’s Malaysian Precedents of Pleadings and Malaysian Civil Procedure. Tabitha has been in the publishing industry for 17 years. She focuses on commissioning and product development and cultivates and manages relationships with internal and external parties.

Raihan Syazwani Deris

Commissioning Editor

Raihan joined Thomson Reuters in early 2011 as a legal editor upon graduating in Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) from UiTM. She is currently a commissioning editor, focusing on identifying the legal market needs in book publishing, discovering new expert legal authors besides providing the necessary guidance and advice to the authors in the course of publication, among others.
